Bylaws are the guidelines that govern how an organization operates. While the law creates an organization, the specifics of how it functions are determined by its members. We must establish guidelines and rules to follow, and these rules are called bylaws. These bylaws must respect the legal limitations imposed on non-profit organizations and the founding objectives stated in the letters patent.
All amendments to the general regulations must be voted on by the board of directors of Parasports Québec and adopted at general meetings or extraordinary meetings, if necessary.
Under Article 26 of the Act respecting Safety in recreation and sports, a federation of sports organizations or a sports organization not affiliated with a federation must adopt a safety regulation.
